Approved Publishers/Distributors

Detainees may have access to publications when forwarded directly from an approved publisher/distributor, through the United States Postal Service, UPS, or FedEx.   Magazines must be mailed in directly from the publisher through the United States Postal Service.

All books must be new.  Hardcover books will not be accepted and will be returned to the sender. Used books are not allowed to be shipped to detainees.  Listed below is the approved list of publishers/distributors:

A publication received from an approved publisher/distributor or other approved vendor may be disapproved for receipt by the detainee only when it contains information which if communicated would create a significant threat to the security or order of the facility or to the physical safety of an individual.

The Warden may limit the number of publications a detainee may possess at one time, or to impose a rule limiting publications to those received from an approved publisher/distributor.

Publications pertaining to firearms, chemical agents, weapons, and explosives are NOT allowed. Magazines Source, XXL, Maxim, Felon, Don Diva and Penthouse are NOT allowed.
